Who would make a good istant for the New Doctor Who ?

I think it should be Sally Sparrow and Larry Nightingale as it would be good to have 2 companions, who aren't romantically interested in the Doctor. They seem intelligent, and I would be interesting to see how 3 people full time in the TARDIS react towards each other.
