He feels like am just being pushy about what i thinks best?

This is something am really trying to avoid with my partner, we have a son from my previous relationship and we are due are next baby in april, today we where out buying things we where looking at blanket and I suggestd we get cellular blankets as the baby is gonna be born at the start of spring so they'll be cooler than the heavy quilt my partner wants to get. He said the quilts are nicer and so is the preice 40pds for one and he only wants it cause it looks nicer, if we could aford what he wants and what I want I would but it would be to expensive by the time we finished getting everything, any ideas on how I can make these choices easier and so he doest think that I think I know what's best, he paid for everything today and I thankyou so he knew I appriaciate his input
