How to make homemade glossy, hard glaze for dog cookies?

I'm baking homemade dog cookies & treats and I wanna make some with a hard, glossy glaze, icing on top (kinda looks like the glaze used on "Pop-Tarts") that's good for dogs...any easy recipes for this?
